... Alex Leung & Ross Stewart Campbell, Co-Founders, The Jungle
Alex Leung quit his job as an investment banker to start a new and unconventional martial arts school.
After being involved in a fight at high school in Paris, Alex took up the initiative to start his own martial arts training group.
For the next few years, removed from the restrictiveness of school sport, he focused on sparring sessions with practitioners from a variety of martial arts backgrounds.
After gaining his MBA and experience in a major financial group, working in France, Bahrain, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Singapore, Alex quit his office job to follow his passion of martial arts full-time.
He has since trained all over the world from Thailand, Brazil and the USA. Alex qualified as a certified Muay Thai trainer and opened a martial arts school in Singapore.
For the last five years, he has been coaching strength and conditioning to fighters and applying his Core 360 training system.
One of his major skill sets is Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), preparing Muay Thai and MMA fighters for competition, as well as teaching beginners and amateurs how to develop their own skills and abilities. Alex is a Certified Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
Ross Campbell has been involved in health and fitness since high school. After gaining distinction in Physical Education Studies he studied Sports Science and Psychology at the University of Glasgow for two years before specialising in Neuroscience. His honour degree included reading human physiology, biology, anatomy, pharmacology and neuroscience. After working in London and Singapore building successful media and event companies he has now fulfilled a dream of co-founding a health and fitness centre. Having trained in over 50 gyms world-wide, across 20 years of continuous fitness development, Ross has applied lessons learned and best practise from all these clubs to ensure The Jungle is uniquely different to anything else before it. A student of mixed martial arts he offers one-on-one physical training and leads a series of high-intensity circuits testing the strength, stamina and mental toughness of all who take part. Don’t let his tattoos and physique scare you, he is a teddy bear by heart, as well as a Certified Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE), Certified HIIT Instructor and an Ambassador for Lululemon Singapore.
