CLASSES

Muay Thai gyms in Singapore tend to focus on repetitive drills, but at The Jungle, we use creative drills and sequences drawn from various martial arts to train our tribe. We perform conditioning as a group, work on technique using bags, and optional padwork is available.

 

Muay Thai will help you develop agility, power, lose weight, gain muscle mass and reduce fat. Over time, you will also develop self-confidence, mental resilience and a drive to improve because this is a sport that requires all or nothing.

For more advanced practitioners who yearn to learn fight techniques and tactics. We welcome practitioners that have mastered the fundamental techniques of striking and blocking.

OUTDOOR

A fun filled mixed level class that's guaranteed to push your cardio to the limits. Padwork and fight conditioning is incoporated into the training for maximum impact.

SPAR

Only for advanced practioners who want to practice sparring with fellow trainees. Full gear is a must.

BOXING
WHY THE JUNGLE BOXING?

Boxing is a combat sport in which two people, usually wearing protective gloves, throw punches at each other, typically in three minute rounds. Amateur boxing may be found at the Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games, and in many other venues sanctioned by amateur boxing associations. Professional bouts are usually much longer than amateur bouts, typically ranging from ten to twelve rounds, though four-round fights are common for less experienced fighters or club fighters.”

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
WHY BJJ?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a self-defense martial art and combat sport based on grappling (ne-waza) and submission holds. It focuses on the skill of taking an opponent to the ground, controlling one's opponent, gaining a dominant position and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds.

BJJ revolves around the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger, heavier opponent by using leverage and weight distribution, taking the fight to the ground and using a number of holds and submissions to defeat them.

Group Class Type

MIXED - No GI

No Gi is grappling without the traditional uniform, instead you wear shorts and a rash guard. In no gi you cannot grab your opponent's clothing.  Classes are suitable for beginners to intermediate level students.

MIXED - GI

grappling with the use of a traditional Gi, which allows you to grab the clothing of your opponent.  Classes are suitable for beginners to intermediate level students.

HIIT
WHY THE JUNGLE HIIT

“High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T/HIIT) is a form of interval training and a cardiovascular exercise strategy, alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods. H.I.I.T/HIIT is the concept where you perform a short burst of high-intensity (or max-intensity) exercise followed by a brief low-intensity activity, repeatedly, until satisfaction or failure. H.I.I.T/HIIT workouts provide improved athletic capacity and conditioning, as well as, improved glucose metabolism and significant reductions in fat mass”

Our HIIT classes help our practitioners train for optimal fight performance.

JUNGLE FIGHT TEAM
BY INVITATION ONLY

Advanced students who show fight potential may be invited to join the Jungle Fight Team. The fight team trains students who are interested to compete in amateur fights.
